Your step-by-step guide to the repair process

1. Arrival

After confirming your booking, a technician will arrive to repair your vehicle at an allocated date and timeslot, agreed with yourself.

While the process that we use to carry out the repair is similar to what would happen if you took your car in for repair at a body shop, all our repairs can be carried out at your home or work address, as long as we have the space to carry out the work. Ideally we require a location with off street parking or a driveway. Upon reaching your address, our technician will conduct a risk assessment to make sure that the repair area is suitable and safe.

2. Pre-Inspection

All of our technicians fill out their work orders on a bespoke smart phone app, which allows them to capture images of the car. As we carry the BSI kitemark this is a requirement that allows us to maintain our high standards of repairs.

All of our technicians carry a 3m by 2m marquee which allows them to protect themselves and your vehicle from the elements.  They also use an extraction unit that prevents any airborne particles from effecting the environment.

A floor cover and a car cover are used to protect your driveway and the areas of the car that we aren’t working on.

3. Repair

Now it is time for the magic. Firstly, we mix up the paint for your vehicle. With a full paint scheme in our vehicles, all we need is the vehicle’s paint code in order to produce the correct colour for your car. We will not undertake any repairs on your car until we have a perfect colour match.

With the correct colour match, the technician will go ahead with the repair by means of sanding, flatting, prepping, painting and buffing.

4. Completion

The technician will walk you around your vehicle and ask you to sign the Shine app to agree that you are happy with the work that has been carried out. Remember, all repairs carry a lifetime guarantee.
